The YTAs travelled to London Transport Museum and met other YTAs from different schools across South London. The event was a finale for all the work the YTAs have done this year. First, we started the day by looking around the museum which was very interesting and creative. After we had to present our presentation in front of other groups and some YTA leaders, we had to share what we have accomplished so far and we watched other YTAs present as well.
We found listening to other Youth Travel Ambassadors very helpful and we learnt a lot from them. In our group we did a rollapallaza competition where you have to ride a bike as fast you can and get the quickest time. Lastly, before we left we took a tour around the museum again and looked at the history in depth and what they planned for the future in terms of transport and safety. This was very informative and interesting.
The whole visit was great fun and everyone enjoyed it and we would love to go again. Overall the experience of being a YTA was fun and it improved our knowledge of London Transport, the importance of road safety and our surveys prove we have raised awareness and hopefully improved behaviour on public transport.
