Book Review: Bookish Boyfriends by Tiffany Schmidt

Bookish Boyfriends is about a 15-year old called Merrilee Campbell. All she wants is a boyfriend like in her favourite romances. When she attends Reginal R. Hero Prep she thinks she has found her fairytale ending. Although with the help of her teacher Ms Gregoire, she soon realises that each storybook has problems to overcome first, especially with the brooding and complicated Monroe Stratford. I personally thought it was quite easy to read and the plotline was easy to follow. The characters were not that believable and it was quite a fantastical book that probably wouldn’t happen in real life. I think the book would be good for Year 5 to Year 9 because there was no violence or sad scenes.

3.5/5
