Celebration of Achievement Evening 2018

Celebration of Achievement Evening 2018

  • Eltham Hill Celebration of Achievement 2018

Eltham Hill was treated to an evening of glitz and glamour on Wednesday 17th October with our Celebration of Achievement Evening. The yearly event allows us here at Eltham Hill to celebrate the excellence, success and overwhelming happiness of our school community. To give praise to those students and colleagues who go out of their way to go above and beyond to achieve their absolute best.

The evening opened with a range of creative performances, including the amazing Eltham Hill school choir performing powerful instrumentals and a show-stopping rendition of Lenard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” by our year 10 Quartet to close the fabulous evening. Throughout the evening a whole host of awards and prizes were handed out to students for their academic and personal successes, whilst the extensive celebrations of three members of staff (Ms Osborne, Ms Jordan and Ms Lahai-Taylor) were also celebrated.

The evening was filled with wonderful hospitality and catering; at the start of the evening guests and award winners were treated to an amazing guest speaker Jane Burton, the global director of Digital Content at Christies. Jane is an absolute pioneer in her industry so it was wonderful for her to share her stories with the crowd on the advancement and advancement in technology both at the Tate Modern and Christies auction house. Her passionate ‘reach for the stars’ speech portrayed her uplifting tone for the whole event; many of the evening’s award winners will follow in her steps to be future trailblazers in their careers.

We wish to extend our thanks to the parents, teachers, guest speakers, facilities teams and most importantly our wonderful students for making the event such a success. The lovely photographs from the event can be downloaded from our website (click link to download images).

We look forward to celebrating more fantastic future achievements with many other students and colleagues in Autumn 2019.
