We are delighted to celebrate the excellent results of our 2019 cohort of young women at Eltham Hill School. Our students’ attainment at grades 9-7 and grades 9-5 remain high across the curriculum and we are particularly pleased with further increases from French, Spanish, German, Maths, Computer Science, Psychology, Sociology and Music.
Our English results continue to be significantly above average with 69% of students achieving grades 9-5 and 32% achieving grades 9-7. With our Maths 9-5 results at 50% and 9-7 at 23% we have also seen a rise in students achieving a 5 or above in English and Maths combined.
We are pleased to note that our High Prior Attainers continue to achieve significantly higher here at Eltham Hill than in most schools nationally. Almost 20% of our cohort achieved 5 or more 9-7 grades and some achieved between 8 and 10 of these top grades. We are especially proud of Rebecca Brooks who achieved 8 grade 9’s along with a grade 8 and two grade 7’s. Other girls who performed exceptionally were; Head Girl Claramae Fleming who achieved 2 grade 9’s and 8 grade 8’s, Kiara Hurst who obtained 3 grade 9’s, 5 grade 8’s and 2 grade 7’s, Charisse Moyo who got 5 grade 8’s and 5 grade 7’s and Anouk Ardoun Nesbit who achieved 2 grade 9’s, 6 grade 8’s and 3 grade 7’s.
We are also celebrating the success of our BTEC students who did extremely well despite the tougher new specifications and exams. BTEC Health and Social Care and BTEC Dance both saw significant increases with over 40% of students attaining Distinctions.
We would like to congratulate all our students who have worked so hard to achieve their best. Thank you to our parents too who have worked with us to support their daughters throughout their education. We look forward to welcoming many of them back in September when they start their A’ Level or IBCP courses in our 6th form.
