Celebration of Achievement

An evening of glitz and glamour arrived at Eltham Hill on Thursday 9th October with our Celebration of Achievement Evening. This annual event allows us all to celebrate the excellence, happiness and success of our school community and to give praise to those students and colleagues who go above and beyond to achieve their own personal bests.

The evening was punctuated with some fine musical performances, on arrival parents were treated to Alice Tskhay’s solo vocal performance of ‘Goddess’ by Laufey. During the interval families were entertained by Sidney Fook’s rendition of ‘Last Song’ by Alex French. The evening closed with a fantastic saxophone solo by Katie Hayden-Phillips of ‘My Ship’ by Weill, arrangement by Nikki Iles.

A whole host of awards and prizes were given to students for their academic and personal successes, whilst the extensive contributions of three members of staff, Ms Flaherty, Ms O’Brien and Ms Whittington were also celebrated.

Following some wonderful hospitality and catering at the beginning of the event, guests and award winners were also treated to a guest speaker Dr Joanne Littlefair Lecturer in Biodiversity at UCL Eat. Dr Littlefair creates and researches new ways to monitor and understand biodiversity, with a particular emphasis on working in habitats that have been heavily altered by human activity and understanding how these areas can be managed to benefit nature. She was an inspiration, just as many of the evening’s award winners will be future trailblazers in theirs.

We wish to extend our thanks to the parents, teachers, guest speakers, facilities team and – most importantly – our wonderful students for making the evening such a success. The photographs of the evening can be downloaded from our website here.

We look forward to celebrating more fantastic achievements with many other students and colleagues in Autumn 2026.
