Why Work At Eltham Hill School?
If you want to work in a diverse, inclusive and comprehensive community school and are committed to improving the life chances of young people then Eltham Hill School is the place for you. We are proud to have been recognised for our pioneering work on equalities, our commitment to Wellbeing and for the creativity of our curriculum. Our results are well above average and Ofsted were extremely positive about our school in their report of March 2024 but as a Leading Edge School we are constantly working with other successful schools up and down the country to improve still further . Our school and co-educational Sixth Form are hugely oversubscribed but staff are able to request a priority place for their children under our admissions policy.
In our 6th Form we offer a wide range of A Levels alongside Level 3 BTEC qualifications and at Key Stage 4 most students take the Ebacc but all students take a compulsory creative option. We really value the Creative Arts and have a huge extra-curricular offer to make sure our curriculum is both knowledge and experience rich. Our students are well behaved and eager to learn so our teachers are able to focus on delivering high quality teaching, assessment and feedback.
If appointed you will join a supportive team of highly motivated professionals who work closely together to plan, develop and deliver an exciting and engaging curriculum for our students. Our facilities are excellent and I would urge you to visit our school to feel the strong sense of a warm and caring community that permeates our buildings.
We are looking to appoint teachers who are passionate about their subject and excited by new developments in teaching and learning. You will be offered outstanding professional development opportunities to develop your skills and we have the same vision for our staff as we do for our students – Excellence, Happiness and Success.
I look forward to reading your application. If you require any further information or would like to visit the school prior to application, please do not hesitate to contact us.
