Wellbeing Award
BackOn the 9th of March, we had our verification visit for the Wellbeing Award at Eltham Hill. For this day, we had to present our wellbeing strategy to an independent inspector and all of the evidence of what we do to support wellbeing for both students and staff. As part of this process, we gathered feedback from parents, students and staff and we looked at all the things that we do well and events and activities that we could do in the future. Students had to meet with the inspector and give feedback and he was very impressed with what they had to say. Our vision of Excellence, Happiness and Success is something we are very proud of and we are thrilled to inform you that we have been accredited with the award. This reflects how hard we work as a team to make sure that everyone is valued and cared for. Thank you for all of your feedback on the surveys. Things that we have put in place as a result of what you have said include:
- An A-Z of staff wellbeing
- Wellbeing Ambassadors in Year 12 and 13
- An impressive range of pastoral workshops and events
- Workshops for staff around wellbeing throughout the year
- Time 2 Talk programme for students
- Increased counselling appointments
- Introduction of wellbeing practitioners within school
These are just some of the things that the inspector thought were fantastic and his overall report was glowing. We will continue to work on wellbeing so please let us know if you think we could do anything else towards this aspect of our school.
