Having been inspired by my geography teacher at school, I came to London to study geography at UCL. After some time working in administration, I returned to London to study teaching at the Institute of Education and have not looked back since.
My entire teaching career has been spent in comprehensive schools in South East London, and my experience has only strengthened my belief in the value of offering the chance of a high quality, comprehensive education to every child.
As Assistant Head for Key Stage 5, I work with the Sixth Form team to ensure we provide students from Eltham Hill and the wider community with pathways that will secure them future success, by offering an excellent education and broad range of experiences and opportunities.
In my role overseeing the wider curriculum, I have the chance to support the many extra-curricular activities Eltham Hill staff provide - a core part of the Eltham Hill ethos.
